For the past 45 years Talleres Industriales has been led by its founder, Rafael Arosemena, who has always been dedicated to serving the city of Colon. Our province, located on the Atlantic side of the Panama Canal is not only one of the most important cities in Panama, but is also the one with the highest poverty rate in the country. Born and raised in Colon, Rafael Arosemena founded Talleres Industriales with a group of professionals eager to serve the world. Talleres Industriales is the oldest ship repair company in Panama. Over the past four decades we have grown to be one of the best ship repair companies in Latin America and we are the best equipped company to carry out onboard repairs.

One of the key factors for
company success is our corporate and social values in addition to the impact on our community. Working 24/7, Talleres Industriales is involved in numerous projects to enhance the ethical standards of its members and the community. Engineer Arosemena, has been devoted over the past two decades to the improvement of all the parks in the province, with the participation of children who live around them. He is also one of the sponsors of half a dozen schools, helping to raise the standard of education in our country.

Rafael Arosemena's legacy will remain for years, always maintaining the philosophy of community reinvestment, social performance and clear ideals. With more than 400 families directly involved in the group, we have a great responsibility to Colon and the country. We are proud of our mentor, leader and founder, and we are committed to continue his legacy supporting local schools, planting trees, campaigns against Aedes aegyptis mosquito, and continued support to the Colon community that has earned him many awards.
